Harmony

Hi! My Name Is Harmony

We're happy to tell you that Harmony has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

One of our rescue partners has asked for help with a wonderful dog that is in danger of euthanasia simply because funding is down and the shelter is having a hard time affording her care. This baby has been a resident at their shelter for 2 years. Harmony has recently developed allergies to a large variety of things. She must be on a special diet and take several medications. She is a wonderful dog that was dealt a really bad hand. She came into the shelter as a stray with a horribly embedded collar. It was so severe that the circulation to her head was compromised, resulting in terrible swelling to her entire head. The jugular vein was exposed and she smelled of terrible infection. She had to go straight to the emergency vet to have the collar and chain surgically removed and her neck repaired. It took months, but Harmony has since healed and made a complete recovery. She is now about 4 years old, fully vetted, crate trained, housebroken, and knows some commands. Harmony has a wonderful demeanor and loves people, even after the ordeal she has been through. She would prefer a semi-active family as she loves to play and go on walks. Harmony can be dog selective and would do best as an only pet. The shelter where she is at may not be giving her much more time, so she really needs help finding placement. Please no negative remarks, as they are trying their best. They are a small rural shelter with extremely limited funds. All their employees and volunteers care deeply for their animals, which is why they are reaching out and asking for help. We want to take this girl, but we can’t do it unless we have somewhere for her to go. Would anyone be willing to foster or adopt this beautiful soul for us? If you are interested, please message us for more information. A foster/adoption application will also need to be completed.
