Lila

Hi! My Name Is Lila

I have an incredible dog in a terribly unfortunate situation. Her name is Lila, and she is a 4-year-old lab- pit mix. The even more unfortunate part of her situation is that she has congestive heart failure as well. She is by no means a hospice case at this point, but it is proving even more difficult to find a home for her. She is on medication and is responding very well to it. In addition to all of this I believe that she might do best being the only dog in the home. In what was her current home she also lived with a 3-year-old female Vizsla. Both are spayed but something was causing them to redirect on each other occasionally and it is something her owners are no longer willing to deal with or try and fix. I can say that lack of exercise would be my guess because they do not get walked regularly. Being that the vizsla is very high energy and both are prey driven dogs the fact they aren't getting this certainly isn't helping. Neither of them has hurt each other to where injuries were caused but it can't continue to happen. God forbid one of them wouldn't let go or would hurt each other and she doesn't want to take that risk. She has been around my dog who is a chihuahua and they get along beautifully and if I could keep her I would in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, my landlord isn't allowing this, but she is able to stay with me for a week. We are running out of options and hate to continue moving her all around. I know you guys are probably up to your ears in animals needing help but if you could please help this sweet little girl, it would honestly be a dream come true. She is great dog and is very much deserving of another chance at a forever home. Being that she has a medical issue and is a pit mix I know most shelters or rescues might be a death sentence for her and I cannot accept that. I am more than willing to sponsor her and pay for her medication. I will also help with vet care in any way that I can. Again, I am running out of options, as well as time, and can't stand the thought of her not getting a second chance. She is a very special girl and there isn't a dog more loving and happy to be in your lap or out doing something. Lila does very well off leash and will listen when called and stays right beside you. She has been camping, rafting and boating. She loves to be anywhere you are no matter what the adventure may be. She also settles down easily and can be a couch potato if that's what you are doing for the day. If you could please call me and let me know either way so I can mark it off the list if that ends up being the case. My number is 814-483-3371 and I can transport her anywhere she needs to go. I am willing to do whatever is needed to give her a chance just let me know what that is. Thank you for your time and Lila and myself really hope to hear from you.
