Sweet little Louie is looking for a patient and loving home. He has not had a good life up to this point. He was definitely abused at some point in his short life as he displays fearful behavior when people are too loud or move too fast. He has been doing better in his foster home though. He just needs a calm family that has patience to let him come out of his shell in his own time. Once he is comfortable Louie is a little love bug. He likes to run, play, and snuggle.
Louie does have a few issues that an adoptive family must be prepared to deal with. He had complications when he was neutered. There was hemorrhaging in the surgical site and he still has a lot of swelling that may take some time to heal. As a result of this Louie is also having some issues with urination. He now pees when he is scared or excited. He also has been leaking in his sleep. This may clear up as he heals, but any potential adopter needs to know that there is a chance that it won’t.
Louie is about 3 years old, has been neutered, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, flea treated, heartworm/lymes negative, and microchipped. It appears Louie had an old injury to his left eye that has left him with limited vision in it, however the vision in the other eye is fine. He does get around well without any issues.
