Noemi

Miss Noemi is a 3 year old pit mix. She came from one of our shelter partners. She was found as a stray in very bad condition. She was emaciated and had a stomach full of foreign bodies (it appeared to be possibly chicken bones on the X-rays). The shelter and veterinary staff treated her and were hopeful that she would pass everything without needing surgery. Luckily she did. Noemi also had some injuries to her front right leg. Externally they appear to have healed now. We had new X-rays taken and it showed bone remodeling, which means the bone is “rebuilding itself.” The doctor believes there may have been an infection in it at some point in time but is ok now. As of now, Noemi has a clean bill of health. She gained weight and looks great. 
She is a super sweet dog. She can be a little timid in new environments but she adapts with her person. She seems to get along with other calm or playful dogs, but does not care for cats. Noemi has a lot of personality for a little dog. She just needs to be given the chance to show it. If you are interested in adopting Noemi please complete an application.
