Why Do Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Helping Hands & Healing Tails cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs.
At adoption, Helping Hands & Healing Tails dogs will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:

Adoption Fees:

Dogs

$350 - Puppies Between 8 weeks through 2 Years
$300 - Dogs Aged 3 - 5 Years
$250 - Dogs Aged 6 - 8 Years
$200 - Dogs Aged 9 Years and Up

Cats

$75 - Kittens/Cats Between 8 weeks through 2 Years
$50 - Cats Aged 3 Years and Up

Fees for Dogs & Cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.

Please inquire for adoption fees for animals other than dogs or cats.

Adoption Inclusions:

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Helping Hands & Healing Tails cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs. At adoption, Helping Hands & Healing Tails dogs will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:

- Rabies (1 yr. or 3 yr.)
- Distemper (DHLPP or DHLPP-C)
- Negative Heartworm, Lyme's, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis Test
- Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
- Micro-chipped

Providing medical care and rehabilitation as neccessary
Providing training as necessary
Placing animals in loving adoptive homes
Providing senior and terminally ill animals with a comfortable and loving home to spend their remaining time
