Miss Olivia, aka Sweet Potato, is my name. I’m desperately in need of a foster home. I was dumped at a high kill shelter. A rescue agreed to take me when I was just an hour away from being euthanized. I was so sick though I didn’t even realize what was going on. I was taken immediately to the emergency vet where they stabilized my condition and was then transferred to the rescues regular vet. They’ve run a bunch of tests and it was found that I had a uti, thyroid disease, and cushings disease. I’m now on medication to help manage everything. I am finally feeling better now. I’m going to need my medicine for the rest of my life though. I like to be the center of attention (meaning I don’t care for other dogs), so I would need a home by myself or be able to be kept separated. I haven’t been around cats, but I can be tested with them. I am a very sweet little girl. I’ve already been spayed. I’m up to date on vaccinations, heartworm/lymes negative, flea treated, wormed, and microchipped. I’m also crate trained. I do have occasional accidents but hopefully once the cushings is controlled that will get better. Please consider helping me out by fostering me or better yet giving me a forever home.
Potential adopters need to realize that Olivia will need to remain on medication for the remainder of her life. This is a must!
