Check out this handsome boy! Rookie came to us after a 9 month stay in a shelter. 9 long months!!! Rookie was picked up as a stray with a visible injury to his front left leg. His xrays show calus formation likely due to a previous break that has healed. Clearly, it has healed improperly which has left him with a very pronounced dip where that leg doesn’t stand straight. Yes, he limps some and will lift that leg at times while standing still to relieve some of that pressure or discomfort but otherwise he doesn’t let it get in the way of his day to day. Rookie is a super sweet guy. He gets along with most other dogs, but he does need training with manners so the other dog must be tolerant until he is trained. He does not care for cats though. No small children please. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, flea treated, wormed, and microchipped. Rookie did have heartworm but has already been treated for it.
